Therapy begins with a comprehensive intake session with a parent or caregiver. This allows us to discuss your child's strengths, history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. Throughout the counselling process, I also meet with parents and caregivers periodically to provide updates, discuss progress and how things are going outside of therapy, and offer strategies to support their child outside of sessions, while maintaining an appropriate level of confidentiality for the child.
In-person sessions are offered in a welcoming counselling space where children and youth can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences through play, expressive arts, movement, and other developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities.
Virtual counselling is available through an interactive online counselling platform with a digital playroom, allowing children and youth to engage in creative, expressive, and developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities from the comfort of their own home. To make the most of online sessions, children should have basic computer skills and be able to navigate the virtual playroom with minimal assistance.
I provide contract counselling services for First Nations and community organizations, supporting children and youth through wellness initiatives, camps, land-based programming, and other community-based services. I welcome opportunities to collaborate on programs that promote connection, resilience, and well-being.
