I believe healing begins with connection. Every child, youth, and family has a unique story, and I strive to create a space where they feel seen, accepted, and free to express themselves in whatever way feels most natural.
I approach my work through a trauma-informed, attachment-based lens, using play and expressive arts as my primary therapeutic modalities. I believe behaviour is communication and that each child has an innate capacity for growth and healing when met with safety, curiosity, and compassion. I meet children where they are, recognizing their unique needs while offering guidance to best support their growth.
I am mother and stepmother to Indigenous Northern Tutchone children, and live and raise my family in the Yukon. This has deepened my appreciation for the importance of culture, identity, community, and connection to the land. These experiences continue to shape my practice with humility, respect, and a commitment to providing culturally responsive care.
I am committed to lifelong learning and actively pursue ongoing professional development, clinical supervision, and advanced training in play therapy (currently pursuing my full play therapy designation) to continually strengthen my therapeutic practice and provide evidence-informed care.
Above all, I hope every child, youth, and family who walks through my door feels safe, understood, and supported as they move toward healing and growth.
